Random thought, but if some developers I’ve known were compilers, they’d create some interesting new types.

We already have:

• Precompiled
• JIT, or, Just in time

But now into the mix we see:

• JALBL, or, Just a little bit late.
• IGIDC, or, I got infected, Delayed Compile
• TH:DNC, or, Too hard, Did not compile.

and finally

• QS, the quantum state compiler, whereby the “compiled”/”not compiled” state is only knowable by observation. I call this the “Anyone seen John?” compiler.
